Ignoring Shemaiah

Of all the leaders in the Bible, Nehemiah is one of my favorites. He confronts a wide variety of problems, but through them all, he remains steadfast in his purpose, trusts God, and eventually achieves success. One of Nehemiah’s most revealing actions, though, is something that he does not do. Nehemiah 6:10-13 tells the story. At this point in the book, the work of rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem is nearly completed. The enemies of the Jews, led by Tobiah, Sanballat, and Geshem, have already tried the threat of force, assassination, and a whispering campaign. Special and DVD Review: The Adventure Begins

This one was a long time coming. After a four month wait, numerous behind the scenes issues and a very... poor advertising campaign, The Adventure Begins has been released! So, here's my long awaited review of it! I want to stress before I get started that my views here are not going to be reflective of the long time gap between the US and UK release; I've already complained about that enough here . I also won't be focusing on the marketing being a total shambles, as I've done that here . I'll just be focusing on the DVD as it's been released and my thoughts of the special (although I may mention them in the final thoughts section). Front Cover I've always loved the front covers of Arc's specials and this one is no exception. Sketchbook Project USA

I know that I usually work well to tight deadlines but I think that I should have paid a bit more attention to when the handing in date for the Art House Co-op Sketchbook Project was, when I signed up for it all those months ago. I knew that it was some time in 2011 but after having a quick check on-line I realised that the completed sketchbooks have to arrive back at the Brooklyn Art Library in the US (ready for their six state, museum and gallery tour - Brooklyn, Austin, San Francisco, Portland, Atlanta and Chicago) by the 15th of January. Taking into account the amount of time it will take to post them from the UK to the US and the fact that I just started my first sketch last night, I’m foreseeing a few very late nights ahead of me this festive season.
